Fayetteville enters the semifinal with a 12-5 overall record and a 5-2 district mark, finishing 1st in 1A Region IV District 29 and 3rd in the 2A standings.
The Lions opened the postseason with a first-round bye before defeating D’Hanis in the Area round, Knippa in the Regional Semifinals, and Medina in the Regional Finals to punch their ticket to the State Semifinal!
Centerville-Groveton Bulldogs
The Bulldogs come in at 26-1 overall and a perfect 9-0 in district play, finishing 1st in both the 1A and 2A Region III District 22 standings.
Centerville-Groveton’s playoff run included victories over Slocum, Chester, Apple Springs, and Union Hill to advance to Saturday’s showdown with Fayetteville.

By Monday, the weather turns more active. Showers and thunderstorms become likely by the afternoon and continue into the evening, with rain chances around 60%. Highs remain warm in the low 90s.
