We’ve got a few more hot days ahead, but rain chances are starting to ramp up. Tuesday will be partly sunny with a high near 97, and the heat index could reach 104. There’s a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, with a little more cloud cover moving in tonight. Wednesday stays warm, with a high near 97, but the chance of rain increases to 40 percent, along with gusty south winds.
Thursday looks like the turning point, with a 90 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Rain could become more widespread during the afternoon, and temperatures will top out around 94. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm continue Thursday night, with temperatures dropping into the low 70s.
By Friday, we’ll see a much cooler and wetter pattern. Showers are likely, with a high only around 86. That rain chance sticks around through the weekend, with highs falling into the low to mid-80s by Sunday and Monday. We could see several rounds of rain over the next few days, so keep an eye on the forecast as those chances increase.

The table is set for a significant change in the weather. A strong upper low will meet up with a slow-moving front.
They have plenty of moisture to work with and rounds of heavy rain are becoming likely late in the week.
Flooding is more likely for some of us. The future rain totals are trending up. The exact amount of rain is still up in the air and the prime spots for flooding. Stay tuned!
There is a lot being said about this storm system. You would think this was not an answer to a prayer we’ve all been praying…we want rain and cooler temperatures.
Well, it looks like that will finally happen. We should be happy, but of course, that doesn’t get clicks like FLOODING COMING!
Will there likely be heavy rain…yes. The exact set up is still a bit in question, but it looks like we may see a few inches of rain.
There very well could be some flooding issues IF a band sets up and moves over the same areas.
